They got it right the second time
April 5, 2015
The tray arrived with two major problems: a clumsily put together corner of one side of the box: not straight, with parts of the finish gone where some amateur had evidently used a hammer to try to pound it into shape; and two large and visible cracks in the bottom veneer of the box, which made it leak. A Japanese company would never have let a product like this past step one in the Production Department. And Enjoying Tea demonstrated poor oversight of their suppliers by sending it to a customer. Then I sent an email complaining. I received a prompt response, apologizing, and saying they would send a new one--with no need for me to return the old one. The new one arrived, passed my quality control test, and has been in use in my office ever since. It the transaction had ended before I complained, I would have rated it one star. But I believe in redemption, and Enjoying Tea gets credit from me for promptly correcting their mistake, at no further inconvenience to me. Potential customers be alert for quality control problems.
