Yixing Clay Teacup (Dark Brown)

I know this cup is tiny, but I just want the reviewers to know. This is a nice traditional tea cup.

I just got these in today, and I was delighted how well they matched my Yixing gaiwan. They are a bit smaller than I anticipated, but I'm getting used to drinking my green teas without additives so the small size will definitely help me adjust.

These cups are a lot smaller than I was expecting, but it is o.k. since normally yixing tea pots are small in volume anyways. Also, I have found myself subconsciously taking smaller sips because of their size anyways. The cups have a ceramic or porcelain lining so you do not have to stick to one type of tea with these cups. One problem is that since these clay cups are so small they do not dissipate heat well so if your tea is hot, so will your cup. But it also cools off relatively fast because of the small liquid volume. I'm giving the cup a four star for quality and essence. I deducted one star for economics and color, because neither of the accessory clay cup color options here match the individual yixing clay pot colors (it's close but not exact). I'd only recommend them if you want it to go with your yixing pot.

These are an affordable replacement for my tea cups that have broken with overuse, wear and tear. They are exactly the same size as my other cups and work well with my Chinese teapots.
