I was never into white teas, mainly because all of the ones that had been served to me tasted like water. I decided to try this one because my wife likes lighter teas and steeps her green tea for a shorter time in order to make it taste lighter. Anyway, I got this tea, tried it myself first, and instantly loved it.
By itself it has a floral/fruity taste to it, sugar definitely brings this out more. You can also get 2-3 cups out of a single serving of this tea. These tea leaves are rather long, so a typical tea scoop will not work. Try using a regular spoon or a wide bamboo tea scoop. I have found that the best temps/times for steeping this tea are 175 degree water for 2.5 minutes for the first cup, 185 degree water for 3.5 minutes for the second cup, and 185 degree water for 5 minutes for the third cup. I typically add 0.5 teaspoon sugar to each cup of tea if drinking it alone. No sugar if I'm drinking the tea with some food.
